Virbo Pro Privacy Policy

Effective date / last updated: September 29, 2026

Wondershare Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (together, “Wondershare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respect your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, disclose, transfer, retain, and delete personal data when you use Virbo Pro websites, mobile applications, software, AI functions, tools, content, and related services (the “Services”).

The Services include the Virbo Pro iOS and Android applications, web-based tools, AI image, video, portrait, avatar, voice, and other content-generation functions, the website at https://virbo.wondershare.com/, and other Virbo Pro software or features that we make available.

Some functions use artificial intelligence and may handle materials that you choose to submit, such as photographs, videos, reference images, audio, prompts, scripts, and other files. A feature involving a human face may also handle face data, some of which can be biometric data under applicable law. Please read this policy before using the Services. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Services.

At a glance: We only process face data when you provide face-containing material and start a feature that needs it. We do not currently use face data to identify, verify, or authenticate people. Extracted technical face data used for a generation task is automatically deleted when that task finishes.

1. Information we collect

The information we receive depends on the way you interact with Virbo Pro, the functions you select, and the choices you make.

1.1 Account details

When you create or access an account, we may receive your email address, account ID, Wondershare ID, username or display name, optional profile picture, login method, account status, and subscription or membership status. If you use Apple, Google, Facebook, or another sign-in provider, we may receive the name, email address, profile image, or other information that provider authorizes according to your settings.

1.2 Purchases and subscriptions

For subscriptions, credits, paid features, or other paid services, we may receive an email address, billing address, order and product details, amount and currency paid, payment status, subscription ID, purchase confirmation, and subscription-management or cancellation information. Apple, Google, and other payment processors normally handle complete card or financial-account details; where they do so, we do not directly store complete card numbers.

1.3 Content you submit or create

You may provide prompts, scripts, photographs, videos, reference images, audio or voice recordings, avatars, characters, templates, project files, generated outputs, and other material uploaded, edited, created, or generated through the Services. Such material can contain personal data about you or another person. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and consents needed to submit and process it.

1.4 Face data

If you voluntarily provide face-containing content and choose a feature that requires facial processing, we may collect, derive, generate, or otherwise process face data as explained in Section 2.

1.5 Audio and voice data

For audio, voice generation, cloning, dubbing, translation, or speech functions, we may process recordings, speech, voice characteristics, voiceprints where applicable, transcripts, and related metadata needed for the selected function.

1.6 Usage information

We may record the features used, pages or screens viewed, in-product actions and editing activity, generation-task status, error and crash logs, interaction times, generation history, subscription status, and language preferences.

1.7 Device and network information

This may include IP address, device type and model, operating system, browser and app version, device identifiers where legally permitted, connectivity status, approximate IP-derived location, system settings, and diagnostic information.

1.8 Support and feedback

If you contact support, report a problem, or send feedback, we may collect your contact details, message contents, screenshots or files, ticket details, troubleshooting information, and other information needed to respond.

2. Face data processed by Virbo Pro

“Face data” means information relating to a human face that may be handled when you provide a photograph, video, reference image, or other face-containing material. It can include visible facial images; features extracted from images or video; analysis metadata used to detect, locate, align, edit, animate, or generate a face; landmarks; face location or bounding boxes; facial geometry; a face mesh or similar technical representation; motion, expression, pose, or alignment information; and other technical information required to create or edit an AI avatar, portrait, live portrait, image, or video.

2.1 What may be processed

When you start a Virbo Pro AI feature using face-containing content, the input image, video, or reference image, its visible facial image, extracted features, analysis metadata, landmarks, facial geometry, avatar-related parameters, and face motion, pose, alignment, or expression data may be processed. The exact categories depend on the function you select.

2.2 When processing occurs

Face processing occurs only when you provide face-containing material, choose a function that requires it, and processing is necessary to deliver that requested function. Where applicable law requires consent, we obtain it. If you do not want this processing, do not upload face-containing material or use face-based AI functions.

2.3 No identification or authentication

Virbo Pro does not use face data to determine who a person is, compare a face against identity databases, perform facial recognition, authenticate a user, conduct surveillance, or make credit, employment, insurance, housing, or similar eligibility decisions. Face features are used only to generate, animate, align, edit, or transform the output associated with the function you selected.

2.4 How face data is used and shared

We use face data only to provide the user-initiated feature, such as generating or editing an image, video, avatar, portrait, or live portrait, except where limited additional processing is necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or troubleshooting. We do not use it for advertising, marketing, profiling, identity verification, or unrelated purposes. We disclose it only when necessary to provide the selected feature, for example to contracted providers such as Google, OpenAI, Kuaishou, or BytePlus. Those providers may act only on our instructions, may use only the minimum necessary data, and may not use it for their own model training, marketing, advertising, profiling, or independent purposes.

3. Biometric data

Face or voice information can qualify as biometric data under some laws, including facial-geometry scans or voiceprints when processed in a legally covered manner. We may handle biometric data only as needed for a function you select, such as AI avatar creation or animation, live or AI portrait generation, face-based image or video generation, voice cloning, AI dubbing, voice generation, speaker differentiation, or related voice processing. Where required, we do so with your consent and as permitted by law. We do not sell biometric data, use it for advertising or marketing, share it for another party’s model training or independent purposes, or use it to identify, verify, or authenticate you.

4. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to create and manage accounts; provide the Services; process subscriptions, purchases, credits, and payments; save, display, and manage projects and outputs; answer support requests; troubleshoot; and keep the Services operating.

For the AI functions you select, we may process prompts, uploaded content, photos, videos, reference images, audio, voice data, face data, and related metadata to generate images, videos, avatars, portraits or live portraits; animate faces or avatars; edit face-based content; generate or clone voices; dub or translate videos; apply templates, effects, or transformations; and complete the requested output.

We may use non-sensitive usage, diagnostic, device, network, and limited metadata to maintain stability, fix errors, prevent fraud and abuse, protect security, enforce terms, analyze performance, improve the user experience, and develop features. We do not use face data or biometric data for general AI model training unless we separately obtain your explicit consent where required by law.

We may use contact information for service notices, account or subscription updates, support, security alerts, and marketing where permitted by law and with consent where required. You may opt out of marketing through the relevant message or by contacting us.

We may also process information to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, enforce rights, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Wondershare, users, and others.

5. When we share personal data

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it only in the following limited situations:

  • Affiliates: Wondershare-related entities may receive data for operating, supporting, securing, and improving the Services under this policy and applicable law.
  • Service providers: Hosting, storage, AI, payment, support, analytics, security, fraud-prevention, communications, and infrastructure vendors may process data on our instructions, with appropriate safeguards and only as long as needed.
  • AI requests: We may send the minimum necessary prompts, photos, videos, reference images, recordings, visible facial images, facial features, analysis metadata, facial geometry, or intermediate technical data needed for the selected output.
  • Legal and safety reasons: Disclosure may be made to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or valid government requests, enforce agreements, investigate violations, address fraud or security issues, or protect people and property.
  • Corporate transactions: Data may transfer in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or service transfer. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you if a materially different policy applies.
  • Your direction: We may share data when you ask us to, share an output, connect a third-party service, or consent.

6. Third-party AI providers

Depending on the feature selected, Virbo Pro may use contracted providers including:

  • Google: Google AI services, which may include Veo, Gemini image-generation models, and related services, for image generation or editing, video generation or processing, and related creative functions.
  • OpenAI: OpenAI video-generation services, including Sora where applicable, for image-to-video, video generation, and related creative functions.
  • Kuaishou: AI services that may include Kling, for video generation and related creative functions.
  • BytePlus: Seedance, the ModelArk platform, and related image or video processing services, where applicable.

Depending on the function, these providers may process prompts, uploaded images or videos, reference images, visible facial images, facial features, face-analysis metadata, facial geometry, and other content or metadata needed for the request. Contractually, they may process data only on our instructions, for the requested feature, for the necessary period, and subject to confidentiality, security, and data-protection duties. They may not use face or biometric data for their own model training, marketing, advertising, profiling, facial recognition, identity verification, independent commercial purposes, or any unrelated purpose.

7. Storage and international transfers

Virbo Pro operates globally, so personal data may be stored or processed outside your country. Relevant data may be handled primarily in the United States, the European Union, and Singapore, with regional processing where feasible. To deliver a selected AI function, the minimum necessary data may be sent to providers operating in the United States, European Union, Singapore, China, or other jurisdictions where those providers maintain infrastructure. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, data-processing agreements, contractual confidentiality and security duties, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Extracted face data: Facial features, analysis metadata, facial geometry, landmarks, face mesh data, and similar technical representations used for a generation task are kept only until the task finishes and then automatically deleted.
  • Inputs and outputs: Uploaded photos, videos, reference images, prompts, project files, and generated outputs may remain only as needed to provide, access, edit, download, or manage projects; troubleshoot; support users; prevent fraud or abuse; protect security; comply with law; resolve disputes; or enforce terms. You may delete them through available product controls or request deletion.
  • Biometric data: If face or voice data is biometric data under applicable law, it is retained only until the initial purpose is fulfilled or three years after your last interaction, whichever comes first, unless law requires or permits a shorter or different period. After the applicable period, it is permanently deleted or destroyed. Extracted face data for a completed generation task is deleted when that task ends.
  • Account data: Account information is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for service delivery, legal compliance, disputes, fraud prevention, agreement enforcement, or business records.
  • Payment records: Transaction and payment records may be kept to satisfy tax, accounting, financial, audit, and other legal duties.

9. Face-data deletion and consent withdrawal

You may delete relevant uploads, outputs, or projects using available product controls, delete your account where that option is available, or email privacy@wondershare.com. After verifying a request, we will delete or anonymize the relevant data, including face data, unless limited retention is required or permitted by law.

Extracted facial features, analysis metadata, facial geometry, landmarks, face mesh data, and similar technical representations are automatically deleted when the generation task is completed. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw consent for future processing by stopping use of the face-based function, deleting the relevant content or account where available, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal; a task may stop or fail to produce the requested output.

We may keep limited information where needed for legal compliance, tax, accounting or audit duties, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security investigations, enforcement of our terms, or protection of legal rights. In those cases we retain only what is necessary and only for the period allowed or required.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data, including face and biometric data, from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, disclosure, or other unlawful processing. Measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, logging and monitoring, data minimization, confidentiality obligations, security reviews, contractual protections, retention controls, and deletion procedures. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If we learn of a personal-data incident, we will take appropriate action and provide notices required by law.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to provide, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the Services. They may collect device identifiers, IP address, browser type, app version, device model, pages or screens viewed, interaction and usage data, crash logs, and diagnostics. These technologies may support essential functionality, login and authentication, security and fraud prevention, performance measurement, analytics, preference storage, and marketing where lawful. You can control cookies through browser or device settings; disabling them may affect functionality.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to know whether and how we process your data; access it; receive a copy; correct inaccuracies; delete it; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; obtain portability; opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising where applicable; and complain to a data-protection authority.

For face data, these rights may include knowing the categories and purposes of processing, the categories of recipients, requesting deletion, withdrawing consent where consent is the legal basis, and receiving information about retention and deletion. To submit a request, contact privacy@wondershare.com. We may verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot comply, we will explain why where required.

13. Children’s privacy

Virbo Pro is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. Anyone under 16 should not use the Services or provide data. If we learn that we collected data from a child under 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe this has occurred, contact privacy@wondershare.com.

14. Third-party services

The Services may link to or integrate with websites, platforms, or services operated by others. Those services are not controlled by us and may follow different privacy practices. If you use them or share content with them, their own policies apply. Review those policies before using third-party services. This policy does not cover services that we do not operate.

15. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy to reflect changes to the Services, technology, law, or our business. For material changes, we may notify you by posting an updated policy, showing an in-app notice, sending an email, or using a pop-up or other prominent notice where appropriate. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. After an update becomes effective, continued use of the Services means you acknowledge the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
